Biteo1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember something about you — most commonly that you are logged in. Similar technologies (local storage, session storage) serve the same purpose. This policy covers all of them for the web properties of BITEO DELIVERY E.E. ("Biteo", "we"): this website (biteodelivery.com) and the Biteo web portals.
2. This website (biteodelivery.com): no tracking
This website runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no social-media pixels, and these legal pages set no cookies.
One third party is involved in rendering these pages: our web font is loaded from Fontshare (api.fontshare.com), a font delivery network operated by the Indian Type Foundry. Like any server that delivers a file to your browser, it technically receives your IP address for that request. Fontshare states it does not use cookies for font delivery.
If you contact us through the website, what you send reaches us once, when you send it. No tracking identifier is stored in your browser.
3. The web portals: strictly necessary cookies only
Partner restaurants log in from this website and are redirected to the restaurant portal at biteo.demfi.app — that is our portal, hosted for us on DEMFI infrastructure (DEMFI is our technology provider). The portal and our internal fleet-operations console require login, and login requires a session cookie. These are the only cookies we set anywhere:

Both cookies are encrypted, are inaccessible to page scripts (HttpOnly), are restricted to their own domain (SameSite), and are sent only over HTTPS in production. They contain a sealed login session and are not used for tracking of any kind.
The public courier application form (the link we send to candidates) sets no cookies.
4. The driver app
The Biteo driver app is a native mobile application and does not use cookies. It stores your login credentials and settings on your device in the operating system's secure storage. What data the app processes is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Why there is no cookie banner
EU rules (the ePrivacy Directive, implemented in Greece by Law 3471/2006, and the GDPR) require consent for cookies that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, preference tracking. We use none of those. Cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user asked for, such as staying logged in to a portal, are exempt from the consent requirement. That is why you will not see a cookie banner on our properties: there is nothing to consent to.
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (for example privacy-respecting analytics), we will update this policy first and ask for consent before setting them.
6. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser's settings. Blocking cookies on this website changes nothing, since it sets none. Blocking the session cookies on the portals will simply prevent login, since there is no other way to keep a session.
7. Changes
If our use of cookies changes, we will publish the updated policy on this page with a new version number and effective date.
